Summer is nearly over :(

I can't do math.  I was a nanny for 5 weeks not 4 - my last blog post was lying. Well it's more than that actually - I think I'm becoming stupider - or I'm no longer any good at pretending to be smart - it's making me nervous about uni.  You see - most of my stories lately have been of my stupidity.  I was adding up how much milk one of the twins had drank: 100ml 200ml 300 400 700 - wait what comes after 400?! - then yona (the mom) took the sheet of paper away from me to do the math herself.  A different day I asked if we were taking one of the twins with us when we were going out - nope he was going to stay back and look after himself?! I also interviewed for a position and I informed the interviewer that I had teached kindergarten.  Poor grammar in my blog is fine - but I dont like it spelling into other aspects of my life. oy.
Nannying was really nice - the family was amazing but now I need to settle into yet another home.  Hopefully my stay will be enjoyable here.  But rather than write up my hopes - I think I'll catch you up on past happenings.
I had the honor of toilet training yona's toddler Caleb.  We used the toilet for the first time with me! I noticed him squirming in his seat.  I also witnessed many accidents - but I only had to deal with one myself - at the park - when he peed on a toy car that had a line a mile long of other little kids who wanted a turn - I had to have their moms keep them away.  I also made a pink necklace a bracelet for Caleb to wear when we played with playdoh (twice) its his favorite color - but hes learning thats not appropriate - his mom asked him what color bike he wanted for his 3 birthday - he said pink and then quickly corrected himself and said red!
We had a fire engine party and I "helped" create a fire engine cake - it was nearly pink - but then we added all the red food coloring there was into the icing to make it as red as possible.
A couple of weeks ago I went to some national park - I cant remember what it was called right now - and I didnt know anyone I went with - I joined some bnei akiva outing - we climbed up this massive mountain and had a stunning view of the tip of the peninsula (at the bottom of australia).  There was ocean on 3 sides and it was uber windy - I was so scared I would be blown off the rock we here standing on.  Then we went to a beach correctly titled Squeaky Beach - the sand literally squeaked beneath your feet as you walked on it - it was so cool.  Then we got on the bus to head back to melbourne and about halfway back it broke down - go figure!
Today I went to a music festival at ST Kilda Beach in Melbourne with this girl I never spoke to until last night when I messaged her on facebook and then called her mobile (thats a cell phone in australian).  My sister met her sister in NY - random.  Anyway I hung out with her and a few of her friends until she left then I stayed there with her friends and some more random ppl I had never met before - it was nice - although Im a bit nervous I was too spacey - there was so much goign on around me I couldnt always be bothered to translate the australian being spoken into english so that I could partake in the conversation - hopefully Ill hang out with some of these ppl again another time - ill let you know.
well Ive got to go to bed (in my new room) cuz Im (God-willing) heading out on a 3 day road trip tomorrow morning.
Hope everything is going well back home

  1. haha I needed to exhale after after reading this. No more dreams about you but I just sent you a friend, so that's nice I think. Alison Uliss. Don't forget to look for her. She's American- so no accent translating required, which will obviously be a nice realizing break for you :) Don't be too hard on yourself. The cause of your mental break is probably the kids' fault. That's my theory. Anyway, keep posting :)
